Survival of the Slowest at Vancouver Aquarium
Vancouver Aquarium
Does slow and steady actually win the race? Does bigger always mean better? What animals benefit from being weak rather than strong? Sometimes, survival isn’t about speed… it’s about strategy.
Check out Vancouver Aquarium's newest exhibit, Survival of the Slowest, open now until September 2nd!
Survival of the Slowest invites families to step into a world where being slow, small, or even weak can be a powerful survival strategy. From two-toed sloths to four-toed hedgehogs and even an armored armadillo, meet the fascinating creatures that prove survival isn't just about being the fastest or the strongest.
Explore interactive displays and hands-on learning experiences to discover the secret strategies that help nature's slowest creatures survive — from eating less to moving less to hiding better. Plus, don't miss the Slow & Tell presentations, where you can get up close to the calm & clever creatures and learn why taking it slow can be a superpower. There's something to learn for curious minds of all ages!
In today’s fast-paced world, take a moment to slow down together… because sometimes, life’s greatest lessons come at nature’s own pace.
